Regular inspections of your pallet racking by a SEMA Approved Racking Inspector (SARI) ensures safety requirements are complied with.

On an agreed date and time, an inspector will visit your site. Any serious issues found during the survey will highlight any potentially dangerous items for urgent attention.

Full Report Email

Shortly after the inspection, a detailed report identifying any issues by risk category and advisory actions that would be required to bring the system to the required standards will be emailed to you in a PDF format.

DO I NEED AN INSPECTION?

Rack inspections are required under PUWER Regulations 1998 (because pallet racking ‘falls under the category of work equipment, which must be maintained and inspected on a regular basis’.) and recommended in the HSE’s HGS76: Warehousing & Storage - A guide to health and safety document.

Racking Inspections are advised where:

Racking is already damaged
Racking is likely to become damaged
Taking measures to prevent accidents
Calculating the load capacity of your storage system

HOW MUCH DO PALLET RACKING INSPECTIONS COST?

This is dependent on a number of factors including quantity of racking, layout, type of racking system, size of warehouse & ease of access to the racking. An existing plan of your racking will help us to quote for the inspection as well as correlate the report back to your existing racking locations.

“SEMA Approved Inspectors are highly qualified professionals. To achieve the SEMA Approved Inspector qualification the applicant is required to undertake an intensive three day training course and successfully complete both a written examination and practical assessment.
